Cost of Pregnancy & Welfare:  AR mom of 2 with TANF, food stamps, and medicaid = $13809/yr and they are most likely to stay on as long as their children live with them.  15 years = over $200,000 in public assistance.

19,500 -- the number of pregnancies and births covered by medicaid in AR in 2005 --- at an average cost of $5000 each that is nearly a $100 million price tag for the public to bear.
