Stories of Grace
Grace Repurposed: Fall/Winter 2025
Rewiring Toward Hope
As the seasons shift and the world grows quieter, something remarkable is happening inside Grace Farms—beneath the surface, deep in the brain and heart. This time of year gives space for reflection, rest, and the slow, steady rewiring that occurs when a young woman finally feels safe enough to breathe, trust, and try again.
Fall and winter offer “Grace” what she’s needed all along: consistent rhythms, gentle structure, warm moments around the table, and daily reminders that she is valued. These good experiences—celebrations, routines, connection, belonging—become the tools that help heal old wounds and reshape how she sees herself and her future. #goodexperienceshealbadexperiences
In this issue of Grace Repurposed, you’ll find stories of this quiet but powerful transformation.
Thank you for creating the kind of environment where healing takes root and rewiring becomes possible. We’re so grateful you’re here.

Healing Through Celebration: Redeeming Broken Birthdays
For years, birthdays were always hard for me. I found myself feeling sad and not understanding why.
I only remember one birthday, before being taken away from my mother. I was turning 5 and daddy was home. He made sure it was special and he even got me a swing set!
I always found it strange that I didn’t remember my other birthdays.
I found out years later…
Grace Repurposed: Spring/Summer 2024
One of the most beautiful things about life at the farm with “Grace” is how caring for animals invites us to a slower and more intentional headspace. Horses can’t be hurried… unless you have a bucket of grain! However, their slow pace in life creates an opportunity for each of us to be intentional about movement and to be aware of our breathing and heart rate when we are interacting with them. Horses have a very stable heart rhythm, so naturally, “Grace” feels calmer when she’s around the herd. As you get farther into this issue of “Grace Repurposed,” you’ll read how Equine Assisted Therapy and our Stable Time is changing the very heartbeat of the girls we serve.
