Press Release: Northwest Arkansas Lowe’s Stores Select Saving Grace as a Beneficiary for Lowe’s Hometowns Initiative

Centerton, Arkansas (October 17, 2022) — Northwest Arkansas Lowe’s locations select Saving Grace as beneficiary of 2022 Lowe’s Hometowns Initiative.

Tuesday, October 18 will mark the start of a three-day landscaping project at Grace Farms. The project will include building two pergola hexagon swing areas with fire pits, six bench areas around the existing pond, and a walking trail around the pond, as well. More than 60 volunteers from Lowe’s Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale and Siloam Springs will assist.

According to Staci Previtte, assistant manager operations of Lowe’s Bentonville, “2022 is the first of a five year, $100 million commitment to the communities Lowe’s serves nationwide. By 2025, Lowe’s plans to contribute more than three million hours of associate community service. When our people and communities are strong, so are we. It is our hope that our team members will go back and start conversations about communities in the aisles.

“At Saving Grace, we believe that good experiences heal bad experiences and we are intentional about that. Lowe’s is providing an opportunity for ‘Grace’ to heal through play and rest. We are thrilled to be chosen by them to receive this incredible gift! Lowe’s is coming alongside and enriching our existing space to create healing experiences for ‘Grace’ and all who visit our property! BIG thanks to our local Lowe’s stores for showing ‘Grace’ we are truly BETTER TOGETHER,” said Kent Shaffer, Saving Grace co-founder and associate director.

Saving Grace serves young women ages 18-25 who have aged out of foster care or are facing homelessness. Saving Grace provides safe housing in a dorm-style setting and offers each young woman educational assistance, career guidance, coaching, counseling and more.
